Our mother, Carol Louise Huber Mizer, passed away Wednesday, October 24th in Sylvania, Ohio at the age of 84.  She resided in an apartment at Elizabeth Scott Community, in Maumee, Ohio.  She was born November 26, 1933 at home on the family farm in Swanton, Ohio; the daughter of replica omega seamaster uk Emil and Kathryn (Schwyn) Huber. She fondly recalled playing on the beams in the barn, collecting eggs from the chicken coop and bravely climbing the windmill, (becoming too scared to climb down until her mother was summoned to help!).

Carol was a former medical records clerk at Toledo Hospital, back when doctors’ handwritten notes had to be transcribed! She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Fulton School in Ai.

She was very proud of her Swiss heritage and her four “lovely” daughters.  She was adventurous and brave and strong. She loved road trips, pink lipstick, her Prius, the symphony, German pancakes at the Original Pancake House, nutty coconut ice cream, and the Fulton County Fair.  A child of the depression, she tended to be frugal, but spoiled us girls at Christmas and on birthdays.  She took her daughters sightseeing around the country by car and camper.  She loved to travel and spent many days enjoying the beauty of the United States as well as other countries.  Two of her favorite destinations were Vermont and Arizona.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Holly (Chris) Floro, Tammy (Rob) Warner, Jami (Tim) Bates, and Sherry Cardenas, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons, sisters Helen (Art) Whitaker and Laura (Fred) Pilliod. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Leedy and son-in-law Jim Cardenas.

A private family service will be held at the gravesite in Hope Cemetery, Barre, VT on Friday, November 2nd. Arrangements are through Brown-McClay Funeral Home, 48 S Maple Street, Vergennes, VT 05491.

Memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church or the Toledo Symphony.

We would like to express our gratitude to mom’s doctors and caregivers; you were loving and patient, and cheap replica bell ross watches meant a lot to her.  Mom, we will miss you.
