                Richard J. Dubois, 58, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
                He was born September 27, 1957 in Burlington the son of Richard and Janet (Smith) Dubois.
                Rick graduated from Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington class of 1975, graduated from VTC and then attended Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI., graduating with Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and Bachelor of  Science in Architecture.
                Rick enjoyed painting water colors, music, art and gardening.  He loved attending the annual VSO Pops concert at Christmas with his Aunt Joan. He was active in his community and enjoyed people.  He was fond of spending time with family on holidays, special occasions and vacations.  He worked several years at the Shelburne Museum and was employed in many other people oriented positions including volunteer work.
                Richard is survived by his brother Mike and his wife Rose Dubois of Georgia, a sister Lori Dubois of Shelburne; a niece  Kaitlyn Dubois, and nephew Ryan Dubois of Georgia, special aunt Joan Smith of Williston, and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
                A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday, August 22nd at St. Jude Catholic Church in Hinesburg. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery in Lincoln. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Howard Center, 208 Flynn Ave., Burlington, VT 05401.
