Alberta S. Jackson

Alberta S. Jackson, 93, died on February 6 at her home in Panton. She was born in Panton on August 7, 1923, the daughter of Robert H. Sprague and Bessie (Stagg) Sprague.
In January 1940 she married Dean D. Jackson, who predeceased her in 2016. Alberta worked along with Dean on the Jackson Family Farm now known at Roads-End Farm, along with their four children. She was a longtime member of the Addison Community Baptist Church, and the former Grandview Grange #316.
She is survived by daughters Bessie and Janice: sons Roger and Richard (Jeanne); very special grandchildren Stephen (Dianne), Betsey, Sarah, Audrey, and great grandchildren Andrew, Kristine (Michael), Anne and Madalyn.
She also leaves her step-brother Joel Fifield (Becky) and step-sister Betty Lee (Melvin) and many nieces and nephews. Her sisters Barbara, Marilyn and Georgia, grandson Eric and son-in-law Wendell Sessions pre-deceased her.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt and sincere thanks to the staff of the Addison County Home Health & Hospice for the loving care they gave Alberta. Special loving appreciation and thanks go to Tara Spaulding for her five years of patient and tender care of Alberta.
In keeping with her wishes there will be only private burial in the spring.
