Frank Peryea

 



            Frank Peryea, a long time Bristol resident passed away the morning of December 21st, 2018. He was born in Ferrisburg, Vermont on February 6, 1936.

            Frank lived a long and full life leaving his wife Charlene (Prime) Peryea of 58 years of marriage. He also leaves behind 4 children who he loved dearly. Children include Arthur Peryea, Colleen French, Laura and Roger Brace and Lisa Peryea, Along with his children, he had two grandchildren Michael and Tierney.

            Frank had a good sized family that comprised of 4 sisters accompanied by their spouses. Rose and Roger Strong, Betty and Robert Brady, Patricia White, along with Joan and David Weaver. Frank also loved the many nieces and nephews he leaves behind.  

            Frank was predeceased by his parents Melvina (Lavalette) and Leo Peryea, his brother Harold Peryea as well as Brother in law John White.

            Frank enjoyed growing up working on several farms within distance of his homes. There was never a day he would refuse going to the farm to get away. Although he never had a farm of his own, he would have ran one with ease.

            For a majority of his life, he worked as an interior carpenter for Brothers Building in Waitsfield. For 30+ years, he traveled over the mountain rain or shine to do what he loved most. He did some traveling for work which inspired many stories he would share at the Sunday dinner table.

            The family would also like to thank Bristol and Middlebury rescue, along with Porter hospital and Chaplin Matt, for all of the efforts regarding Frank. They did an amazing job and their service does not go unnoticed.

            Funeral services will be private.

            Those who had the pleasure to meet Frank, know that he loved a great time with great company.
