               Russell R. Preston Jr., 75 passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his home in Panton with his family by his side.

               He was born March 11, 1949 in Randolph, VT the son of Russell and Roberta Tabor Preston Sr. He graduated in 1967 from CVU and was enlisted in the Navy for 6 years.

               Russell is survived by his wife Pamela of 53 years and two sons Scott Preston his wife Mandy and their children Eliza, Noah and Garrett. Eric Preston his wife Angie and their child Isaac. He is the oldest of 8 children including four brothers and three sisters.

                 Russell is predeceased by his parents.

               He retired from Barrett Trucking and was named 2004 VT Truck and Bus Association driver of the year. His hobbies were restoring antique tractors, camping with friends and family,and deer hunting with his grandson.

  4. Russ and Pam have been lifelong friends. Russ and Skip graduated from CVU in 1967. We have kept in touch over these 50 plus years. Russ would always include Skip in his tractor parades and plow days since we moved back to Elizabethtown from Western, NY. When we lived in Western NY, Russ and Pam would come by with their 5 th wheel and spend a weekend with us. Russ genuinely cared about people. He was a very kind and thoughtful man. We will miss him.
