Starksboro – Ann Marie Majarian, 66, of Starksboro, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on Wednesday, November 5^th, 2025.

She was born June 1^st, 1959 in Burlington, VT to Barbara (Baker) and Michael Majarian, the youngest of five children. In 1974, her family moved from Essex Junction to Monkton, where she helped her parents build what would become the family home for the next 40 years. Ann graduated from Mount Abraham Union High School in 1977. She worked various jobs throughout her life, collecting memories and making lifelong friends with each one. She loved to share stories of the shenanigans that would go on at work and laughed the biggest laugh when she would recount them with others. She left work behind in 2012 to stay home and care for her father during his health decline but stayed in contact with all of her work families through the years.

Ann married Gregory Martin, Jr. on August 17, 1996. Though their marriage did not last, they remained good friends until his death in 2006.

Ann is survived by her two daughters: Nikki Hansen and her husband Michael, and Heidi Majarian and her wife Emma. Her daughters were her pride and joy, and she bragged about them to everyone. Her grandson Matthew was the light of her life and beamed with pride at the amazing young man he has grown to be.

Also surviving Ann: her brother Michael Majarian, sister Donna Phinney (Rob), many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who became family.

Ann is predeceased by her parents, as well as brother George “Bub” Hall, and sister Barbara Swisher.

Per Ann’s request, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 30 Porter Drive Middlebury, VT 05753.
