Catherine Margaret LeBoeuf,(nee Larrow), aged 96 died peacefully on February 28, 2018 at the Helen Porter Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home in Middlebury Vt. after a brief illness.
Catherine was born December 7, 1921 in Vergennes, Vermont, daughter of Helen and Leon Larrow. She grew up as a farm girl in East Charlotte and was a graduate of Vergennes High School. In 1941, Catherine married Howard J LeBoeuf Jr of Vergennes and periodically traveled with Howard throughout the United States during his various postings in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Catherine was a devoted wife and mother to her three children, living in Vergennes her entire life. At the time of Howard’ passing, they had been married for 71 years. She loved cooking for her family, and throughout her life was interested in cooking shows and new recipes. She had a lifelong interest in music, including singing on the radio when she was young, and participation in various choruses, and enjoyed a full range of concerts and performances. She loved the birds, a fresh winter snowfall and watching daily Mass on EWTN. She had strong faith in God, and will forever be a lasting inspiration to all her family and friends.
She is survived by her 3 children, Norman and Lynda LeBoeuf from New Haven, VT, Mary and Paul Niekrewicz from Williston, VT. and Lee and Kristina LeBoeuf from St. Louis MO. She is also survived by her sisters Connie Muniz, Leone and Robert Lawson and Helen and Robert Panton, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank her faith community at St. Peter’s Parish in Vergennes, Addison County Home Health Services for their years of care, and all the care givers at the Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for their kindness and concern during her last illness. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 4, 4PM to 6PM at the Brown McClay Funeral home, 48 S Maple St. Vergennes and Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Monday, March 5, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Vergennes.
