Frederick H. Wells Jr. affectionately known as Cubby, passed away peacefully at the age of 66 late on Thursday July 11th with his partner Robin by his side. Born in Burlington Vermont and raised in Lincoln Vermont, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and exploring the outdoors. A skilled stone mason who built beautiful custom chimneys, stone walls and fire places. He loved cooking up a storm whether it be in his own kitchen or at a friend’s back yard pig roast. He was an adventurous eater and would try almost anything, though he drew the line at opossum. He loved music, playing his drums, harmonica and singing. He was creative and able to imagine and build just about anything. He loved life, being adventurous, and traveling. He knew how to take the time to appreciate the small things. He was the best at telling stories about his experiences in life, often about things that could really only happen to him, and had such a good sense of humor he could make himself laugh. He was pre- deceased by his father Frederick H. Wells Sr. and his mother Anna E. (James) Wells. He is survived by his partner Robin Dufault, his Daughter Mikko R. Wells, son Frederick (Freddy) H. Wells the III, Robin’s daughters Jaiden and Alexis, Robin’s niece Cassandra, Sisters Leath Meunier, Ellen Rotax and Husband Jay, Gay Truax and Kathleen Wells. As well as his much loved nieces and nephews. Honoring his wishes there will be a true Cubby fashion celebration of life on Saturday September, 27, 2025.
