Joseph Albert Tisbert

Joseph Albert Tisbert , 90 passed away  Monday September 25, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born January 26, 1927 in Andover Ma. The son of Hector Arthur Sr and Olivene (Cloutier) Tisbert. In 1959 Albert moved his family from Andover, Ma to Panton, Vermont to live out his dream of dairy farming. He spent his life farming. Albert was active in the farming community serving as a member of the Farm Bureau, an Officer of the NFO, and was active in the town of Panton and an advocate of his community and the farming community. Albert also was an accomplished farrier, he loved to take on the cases that needed special attention. Often working with Cornell University on special cases. Albert Loved to sing and gave the gift of music to his family.  He was a member of St Peter’s Church and was an outstanding member to the choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Albert had a love of horses and spread that love amongst his daughters. He raised and trained Standardbred racehorses.

Albert had a heart to help people in need, and was always there to take someone in, or listen.

Albert was a devoted husband of 67 years to Dorothy Rita Tisbert. (Mack). Albert was a  proud and loving  father of 8 children.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Catherine Palmer and Patrick, Susan Hatch and Patrick, Joy Abbott and Dave, Thomas Tisbert and Michelle, John Tisbert and Ruth Cohen, David Tisbert, Andrew Tisbert and Mardi, Julie MacCarty and Brian; 17 Grandchildren, Carolyn, Andrew, Michael, Jesse, Jacob, Audrey, Anthony, Brianne, Roxanne, Ryan, Meghan,  Jill, Abbie, Sharon, Ginseng, Tully, and Kale; 13 Great Grandchildren.

His Brothers Louis Tisbert, Robert Tisbert, Pauline Gilbert, Janet Gerrad, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert is pre-deceased by his Wife Dorothy Rita Tisbert(Mack), and 7 siblings.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday September  28th  at Brown-Mclay Funeral Home in Vergennes, Vt from 6 to 8 p.m.

A mass of Christen burial will be celebrated at 11A.M. on Friday September 29th at St Peters Church in Vergennes VT.
