With great sadness we want to let you know of the passing of our beloved son, nephew, brother, cousin and friend.
Kory Stewart Wright, 42 of Bristol Vermont passed away in the early morning hours of 1/31/26.
He graduated from Mount Abraham Union High School, class of 2002. He was employed by Pool World of Burlington, for the last 5 years and prior to that at Bimbo Bakery in Williston.
He was an avid gamer, movie buff and hobbyist. He also enjoyed target shooting with his father. He loved Aunt Alice’s homemade crescent rolls. Also canned corn—IYKYK.
Kory will be remembered for his sense of humor, his big kind heart, love of animals and devotion to family.
He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Mary Wright of Bristol. His Aunt Kathy (David) LaFleche of Cornwall, Uncle Danny (Debbie) Grace of Bristol, his brother Christopher Grace, sisters Jennifer Cooper, Amy Wright and their families, a very special cousin, Jaime Sheldon a close nephew Chance Sheldon-Shea as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents Lloyd “Gus” Bouvier and Margaret “Maggie” aka Card shark Bouvier who he enjoyed playing Rummy with. Most recently his Uncle Herbert Wright (1/21/26), the beloved family dog, Leila (1/27/26) and his step grandfather, Roy Rivers (1/30/26).
Calling hours will be Friday, February 20, 2026 from 5-8pm at Brown McClay Funeral home in Bristol. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the GoFundMe or to an animal rescue/shelter of your choice, in his name.
