Mark Wendell Dion-Johnson

Mark Wendell Dion-Johnson, born January 20, 1995, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 29 years old on Thursday, July 27, 2023, in Charlotte,  VT.  Though he left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place.  He was a 2014 graduate of Vergennes Union High School and was a talented young man who worked his way up in the food industry, an interest he developed at a young age.  He successfully managed several businesses during his short career.  Another passion and love he pursued with Barb and Jim Amblo, as well as their family, was working with and training miniature horses at Tarry-Ho Miniatures.  Mark had a loving and peaceful personality and enjoyed all that nature had to offer, especially his time spent at the beaches and rivers with his dogs Gunner and Dino. There was nothing more that he enjoyed than chatting with people over a good cup of coffee.

He is survived by his father, Jason Johnson, his adoptive dad, Christopher Dion, his mother, Emma Brace Dion, his sister, Brittany Dion, and his brother Caleb and Nicole Dion.  Also surviving him are his grandmothers Susan LaBerge, Jean Chamberlain and Doris Brace, his nephews Matthew Stearns and Colton Dion, his niece Maci Dion, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his grandfathers Wendell Brace and Lenny Johnson.

A luncheon and celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd, from 3 to 6 p.m. at The American Legion Post #14 located at 100 Armory Lane in Vergennes.  All family members and friends are cordially invited to join us and share their fond memories of Mark.
