Peggy Jean Tuttle (Kimberly Cameron Baker) age 81 of Vergennes passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Porter Hospital of Middlebury. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend.
Peggy was born in Macon, GA on April 21, 1936, daughter of Lola Cameron Bull. She married John Baker in 1957. She married Kenneth Tuttle in 1993.
She is survived by her children, Diane Baker of Greenville, NC, Sharon Brown of Vergennes, John Baker of Vergennes, and Barbara Baker of South Burlington, and 3 grandchildren, Nicole and Danielle Brown of Vergennes and Sean Sullivan II of Greenville, NC. She leaves 3 sisters, Charlotte Birchmore, Sheila Turpin, and Cynthia Cameron all of Vermont, and a brother, Kelly Bull of Nebraska, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a 1955 graduate of Vergennes High School. She was employed at Fishman’s Department Store, The Enterprise and Vermonter newspaper, Kennedy Brothers, Vergennes Elementary School and Vergennes National Bank (Chittenden), retiring from the bank after many years.
Peggy enjoyed crafts, NASCAR racing, attending her grandchildren’s events and country music. She loved her cats and rabbits, and had a pet bunny named Sadie. She often spent winters in Florida and enjoyed warm weather and sunshine. Peggy adored her children, grandchildren, siblings and friends. Anyone who met her loved her.
