Robert (Bob) Warren Palmer

Robert (Bob) Warren Palmer, 85, of Burlington Vermont passed away on February 10, 2026.

Robert was born on September 6, 1940 in Bristol Vermont to Raymond “Snap” Palmer and Marion (Badger) Palmer. He had a talent for baseball and played in high school before graduating in 1959.

Shortly after, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Korea until 1962. There, he trained as an auto mechanic. After his honorable discharge, he ended up in Kansas City where he met and married Sherry Marcy in 1968 and had one daughter, Shannon.

Bob worked as a mechanic at Kansas City Transit Authority and retired after 31 years. He spent the last 20 years of his life living in his hometown in Vermont.

Bob loved dogs, playing and watching baseball, especially the Red Sox, cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Riding motorcycles was one of his greatest joys.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, George Palmer. Remaining to cherish his memory are his siblings; Rae Paine, Michael Palmer (Lisa), Sharon Palmer and Dan Palmer, daughter Shannon (Daren), grandchildren; Seth Thomas, Kylie Moon, Taylor Moon and great grandchildren;

Draco Moon and Jamie Moon along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family plan on having a private celebration of life in the spring.
