Rest easy friend, you’re back with Chet looking for hard to find parts again!
Al, We all had some really great times down there in Laconia. I’m going to miss him terribly. I almost stopped back in November, what a regret I have.

Marvin & Ellie will miss him and the chats he and Stanley had as they knew each other forever.
Stan and I were friends for about 50 years plus minus, We met at work he left his copy of hot rod magazine, I was looking it over, You like hot rods? he asked, I do said I and the friendship began, We went to lot car shows and drag races sometimes in what ever car I had or in his Corvette, We planned a trip to drag races in NJ, He wanted to know if I would go back through Conn, So he could pick up fenders for his coupe. Now it was looking like and be came a Hot Rod. some many years later he would hit a deer and the yellow coupe was grounded while he built a Ford pick up, The black beast!
He was gifted organizer always able to gather a group together to go to car show or drag race, some 100’s of miles away.
Many years ago he showed me a well beat up pick up truck, I’m going to build it into a hot rod he said, and explained it all out. Eventually the 41 Chevy pick up was turned into a street rod and sits in my garage right now,
I would join the Champlain valley Street Rodders club. Mainly to visit with my friend,
I few years ago he called and wanted to know if I wanted to go the New Hampshire speed way to see a NASCAR race. yes i said, It wasn’t until we got to the track that I realized the tickets he got from a friend were Box seats,
That would be our last race!
Friend Larry and I visited Stan last summer for the last time, Despite his health issue he found time to spend part of his day in his shop working on one of his cars and always ready to pull up chair and tell a few stories, I and many others are going to miss him, He left me with a lot stories and memories. It was a lot of fun!
Thank you Stan!

I met Stan as a member of the Champlain Valley Street Rods in early 1980’s. He was a great guy and I enjoyed visiting and spending time talking cars with Stan. When I think of him, I also remember his friend Chet Hawkins, who we just lost several months ago. I will miss my friend, Stan. RIP
