William (Skip) Lange Roberts

William (Skip) Lange Roberts, 77, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home in Addison.
He was born August 26, 1939 in Ferrisburgh the son of Sylvester and Elmira (Lange) Roberts.
William was a charter member of Addison Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the National Guard. He had great passion for life however was most passionate about his family, friends and his home life when all were together as one. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and was a number one Red Sox fan. In these past few years he had a special twinkle in his eyes for a special family member Lily or as he would say Lilly gal, our family dog.
He is survived by his wife Doris (Smith) Roberts; his children, Sharon (Lucian) Pickett, Debra (Alfred) Wright, Dwayne Roberts, Jeremy Roberts; seven grandchildren, Justin (Libby) Dimond, Christopher Mohan (Jodi), Amber Lynne Mohan (William Cole), Jessica Dimond (Sam), Kaleb Roberts (Caitlin), Tiffany Roberts (Nick), Brendin Roberts; seven great grandchildren, Josie, Damian, Raygan, Rhylin, Mason, Nashua, and due in September baby Ellen Lorraine; a brother Jerry Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 18th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday May 19th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lake View Cemetery in West Addison.
