Brenda E. Bell

Brenda E. Bell, 71, of North Ferrisburg, passed away on Wednesday April 19th, 2023 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT.

She was born on July 7th, 1951 in North Ferrisburg, VT to Harry and Phyllis (Barrett) Gordon.

After graduating high school, Brenda pursued her passion in nursing for many years until she retired. Her hobbies were gardening, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was well known for her spitfire attitude and willingness to help anyone in need; she touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed.

Brenda will be remembered for her soft spot for her grandchildren. She wasn’t afraid to show her wild side when prompted. Because of her sense of humor and steadfastness, it wasn’t uncommon for her to be called BRENDAAAA due to the fact that whomever she was speaking with probably didnt get their way…. or she told an inappropriate joke. May she rest in peace. The queen has left England.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harold Bell, her son Michael, and her grandchildren Micayla, McKenzie, and Ciara, as well as her caregiver Karen. She is predeceased by her son Conrad.

Visiting hours for Brenda’s funeral/memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 5pm to 7pm at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes, VT. There will be a celebration of life from 6pm to 9pm at the American Legion in Vergennes, VT.
