Bruce M. Emmons, 93, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born on June 24, 1926 in Bristol the son of Bernard and Agnes (Edwards) Emmons.
Bruce is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife Glenna (Ober) Emmons, his son William Emmons and wife Debbie of Gray, ME. Stepdaughters; Tisa Gurnee and husband Douglas of Middlebury, Tanya Combs of Essex Jct., Tena Fraser of Vergennes, grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In his younger years Bruce was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He love playing cribbage with George Smith and his friends.
Bruce was a member of the American Legion Post #19. And a life time member of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Bruce was proud to have served his country and served in three wars; WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be at Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph.
