Elizabeth (Clodgo) LaFoy, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Ringer Home Care in Vergennes.
She was born August 1, 1937 in Rutland the daughter of Alfred and Blanche (Ringer) Clodgo.
She is survived by her children and spouses Jay LaFoy ( Jennifer), Nancy Larrow ( Jim), Suzanne Hurley (Robert) and daughter in law Donna LaFoy. She was predeceased by the love of her life Jerry LaFoy November 9, 2000.
One of Bettys greatest joys and sources of pride were her five grandchildren Christopher LaFoy, Kimberly La Foy Habbyshaw ( Ryan), Alexandra Larrow (Jermaine), Patrick Hurley and Rachael Hurley.
Betty was active with the Vergennes Seniors program helping to organize meals with her best friend June Olson. She won numerous awards for her counted cross stitch pictures. She was also known for her love of quilting, gifting many handmade quilts to her children and grandchildren. Betty finished her last quilt gifting it to her granddaughter on July 3 .
We would like to express our extreme gratitude to Karla Huizenga & Peggy Nolan care givers, Lana Delorme, Jane Kearns and Sara Audet ACHHH and the Hospice volunteers which allowed her to remain at home .
We also wish to thank Jim & Marlene Ringer and their staff for the excellent care she received at Ringer Home Care her final month.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 16th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, July 17th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health and Hospice or Vergennes Seniors, 62 High Manor Park Waltham, VT 05491.
