ETHAN PAUL MEACHAM

August 6, 1997 to July 23, 2019

                Ethan was born in Burlington, Vermont and he attended Mt. Abe Middle School before, he transferred and graduated from Middlebury Union High School.  Ethan was a Cadet for New Haven Volunteer Fire Department and completed the cadet fire academy.  Ethan was self employed in the family business.

                Ethan loved his cars, and going to car meets over the years, he never missed a scratch or a ding.  He had many friends who he would randomly stop to see in his daily travels.  He loved road trips in his cars, always ready for a new adventure and road to travel.  He was always smiling and eager to meet people.  He traveled to Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Jamaica, and several other Caribbean destinations with family.  He enjoyed swimming in the local rivers as well as hiking, with his K-9 best friend and companion      “Emmett”, a rescue dog.  Like he said “ Music, love and a dog is all ya need “

                He loved his side by side and boating with family, a smoke, and a bonfire.  He was with his dad daily in the truck running all over New England.  Ethan would want everyone to remember the good times and entertainment he provided.  He was proud to be an Uncle to Oaklynn and he was amazing with her, he loved his sister an always told her you got this.

                He is survived by his Mother Margaret Meacham and her fiancée Jim Vann, of Morrisonville, New York, his father Paul w. Meacham III and his partner Tammy Delphia, his sister Ashley Meacham of Charlotte, his niece Oaklynn.  His Grandmother Annette Armstrong of New Haven, Mimi Carmen and John Palmer of New Haven, his Grandfather Paul Meacham Jr of Burlington, Vt and several other family members.  He leaves behind his Partner John Plunkett of New Haven.  He was predeceased by his Maternal Grand Parents and “ Papa Norm “, as well as other relatives.

  1. So so sorry for your loss. Ethan was such a great kid! I was so bummed when he started going to Middlebury high school. He was always so funny, and would make a bad day turn into a good day! He was such a pit bull person and it made my heart so warm as they get a bad reputation along with the most abused dog. Ethan had such a big heart, always smiles, and you always knew it was him when you would hear his laugh. Ethan you are going to be missed by so many, but you left lots of great memories with everyone.

I didnt know Ethan very long I meet him while working at my sisters store in new haven and we became pretty good friends through his daily travels in for drinks and snacks he always had a smile on his face and was always very chipper another young life taken to early god bless to the family

    I am so sorry I can’t be there with you. Please now I am in spirit. Ethan was such a wonderful person, from just a little boy he was always so sweet and caring. He definitely loved his family with every fiber of his being.. Take good care of Emmett he needs all of you too. There really are no words to express my heartache for all of you. I’m sure he’s catching up with all his great grandparents right now 😊

  4. I only knew Ethan for a short period of time but he was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Reading through the posts on his Facebook it is amazing to see all of the lives he touched. More than I thought possible. He will most certainly be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

    I am so sorry for your loss of Ethan. I could see how deeply he cared for you in all his posts. I am so happy he found such great happiness with you. As I’ve told the rest of the family, please allow all your most precious memories with Ethan fill your heart and help you through this most difficult time.

The Loss Of Ethan Cannot Be Effectively Described…We Can Only Say The Complimentary Truths About Your Wonderful Precious Son, Brother & Uncle. He Was A Sweet Child, & I Have Always Been Grateful That You Invited Me To Be With You When He Was Born. I Watched Him Grow & Develop Into A Kind, Sweet Child And Later Know Him To Be A Hardworking Young Man. I And My Parents Always Believed He Was A Gift From God.
    Losing Him So Early In Life Is Forever Painful. Please Do Know I Have Been In Constant Prayer For Him And For All Of You.

    So sorry to hear this news! My thoughts are with you as you navigate this loss. Ethan was my student in 7th and 8th grade and I have fond memories of our work together at Mt Abe. Just last year, he hailed me down from his car as he took one of his famous drives, stopping to talk and ask me about my life. As if no time had passed between us.
