Francis Driscoll
Francis Driscoll, 95, of Monkton, Vermont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Porter Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Francis was born on August 30, 1930, in Hanover, New Hampshire. As a young man, he helped assemble Sears kit homes before going on to build his own construction company, a career that reflected his skill, determination, and strong work ethic.
Francis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the Army Corps of Engineers, following his service as a drill sergeant.
In 1961, Francis met the love of his life, Mary Bessette. They married and shared nearly 60 years together, remaining devoted to one another until Mary’s passing in 2021. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, commitment, and partnership.
Francis was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary; his parents; his son, Michael; four brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy and Elizabeth; his children, Gerri Cutler, Terri (Wayne) Groth, Scott (Shelly) Driscoll, Chris Driscoll, and Mark (Amy) Driscoll; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Francis will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his years of service to his country, and the life he built through hard work and perseverance. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or formal funeral service.

Sorry to hear that Francis has passed away. Your parents were always good to my parents and Francis was wonderful to Dad. Francis would come to visit Dad and always bring him some type of food. Applesauce and eggs, whatever he could think of. I know this is a hard time for all of you but just remember the good times you all had together.
