Irene Rose Boise

Irene Rose Boise, 92, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2016 in the Estuary Room in Porter Hospital. Irene was born in St. Isidore, Quebec, Canada on August 30, 1924 to Henry and Leoni Bolduc.
She came to Vermont on the train when she was 2 years old with her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She was raised on the family farm in Bridport.
She married Louis Boise, the love of her life, on April 27, 1943. Together they raised 5 children. She truly loved being a wife and mother and so enjoyed taking care of others. After her own children were grown she babysat other children in New Haven. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting and spending endless hours in her garden tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Thomas and Carol, Steven and Andrea, Vicky and Peter and Cubby and Susan. Her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and brother-in-law Arthur Boise and special foster son Robert Kemp and his daughter Lisa.
She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2010 and son Dennis in 2003 and all of her siblings. She is now reunited with her soul mate Louis.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 13th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14th at St. Ambrose Church in Bristol.
