Janice M. Armell, 80, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home in Charlotte.

 She was born on January 1, 1937 in Claremont, NH. Janice was the daughter of Ralph and Madelyn (Gregory) Watson.

 She worked for many years at Eating Well Magazine in Charlotte, and enjoyed reading, knitting, bird watching, trips to the ocean and spending time with her family.

 She is survived by her children, Pamela Cousino and spouse Guy, Susan Johnson and spouse Charles, Sally Boisvine, Ilene Knox and spouse Larry, Lester Armell, Jr. and friend Shirley, Charlene Gorton and spouse Paul, June Melillo and spouse Gary, Betty Sabourin and spouse Gerald, Mark Armell and spouse Brenda. 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special friend Sandy Armell.

           She was predeceased by her husband Lester Armell, Sr. and their son Eric. We would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association as well as niece Penny Armell, Doris Brace and Hilary Norton for their care.

            Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 29th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30th at North Ferrisburgh United Methodist Church. Interment will be in North Ferrisburgh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114, or Muscular Dystrophy Association of Vermont, University of Vermont Medical Center Clinic, 790 College Parkway, Colchester, VT 05439.
