                 Jon B. Kennett passed away on June 21St at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury after short, but hard-fought battle with cancer.

 He was born on November 14, 1952 in Concord, NH the 4th son of Charles and Helen (Scholz) Kennett. Jon was a quiet good spirited guy. He was lifelong farmer and especially enjoyed working in the field.    After retiring from the farm, he was employed at Champlain Valley Equipment and where he worked in receiving and shipping.  Jon always looked forward to going to work at “Champlain” as well as all of the people that worked there. He enjoyed assisting his son Jack in his new farming endeavors. Jon still loved driving trucks, tractors and other farm equipment and had quite an impressive toy tractor collection. He was very proud of both of his boys and all of their accomplishments.

                He is survived by his sons Jack G. Kennett of Addison and Jon D. Kennett “Dusty” of Dickinson, ND. His brothers Walter Kennett and his wife Cynthia of Pottsville, Pa, Chuck Kennett & his wife Kathy of Panton, VT, Bob Kennett & his wife Beth of Rochester, VT, and his sister Janice Baker and her husband Bill of Bristol, VT as well as many nieces and nephews.

                The family would like to thank Addison County Home Health & Hospice, Porter Medical Center and its “ARCH” Room, as well as UVM Medical Center for all of their good care and help during this difficult time.

                A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6th at Grandview Cemetery in Addison. All are invited after the service for refreshments & fellowship at the Addison Baptist Church. There will be no public calling hours.
