Judith Ann Poquette (D’Avignon), wife, stepmom, sister, and friend, age 53, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home in Hancock, VT.

Judy was born on December 24, 1967 in Bristol, VT to Theodore and Helen D’Avignon (Jimmo) and was the youngest of six children.  She graduated from Mt. Abraham Union High School in 1986.  She loved working at the Middlebury Gulf.  She worked there for 8 years and was later promoted to manager.  She loved her animals.  She met the love of her life Ellwyn “Boomer” Poquette Jr in 1998.  They married on May 5, 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Ellwyn “Boomer” Poquette Jr.  She is also survived by her mother-in-law Caroline Dunkin, sister in laws Sandra Kayhart (Kevin) and Gail Alexander (Wayne), step-children Brennon Poquette, Jason Poquette, Isaac Liberty, Step-Grandchildren, Step-Great Grandchildren, siblings Pat D’Avignon (Linda) of Rhode Island, Mike D’Avignon (Corinne DuRoss) of Bristol, VT, Roy D’Avignon of Bristol, VT, Starr Bouvier (Joel) of Bristol, VT, and Libby D’Avignon (Tim Pierce) of Ferrisburgh, VT.  She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Helen D’Avignon (Jimmo), nephew Ryan D’Avignon, Sister in law Chiquita Mason, Brother in law Raymond Poquette, Sister in law Donna Cross, Sister in law Kathy Santor, her dog Prissy, aunts, uncles, and cousins

Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 20 from 5 to 7pm, at the Brown’s McClay Funeral home, 4 South St, Bristol VT. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be on Monday June 21, at 11am, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol.  Burial will follow at the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Homeward Bound, 236 Boardman St, Middlebury, VT 05753.
