Kenneth R. Weber
April 3, 1941- December 17, 2022
VERGENNES, Vermont
Kenneth Robert Weber, dearest husband, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to many near and far, died peacefully in his home on December 17, 2022. Kenneth/Papa/Ken/Pops was a big man with a big personality, and could fill a room with his hearty laugh and outgoing manner. He loved camping, music, travel adventures or any activity that brought the family together. Ken was an avid photographer, and spent many hours capturing Vermont landscapes and birds.
A lifelong Vermont resident, Ken was born April 3, 1941, to Wilbur and Dorothy Weber of East Dorset, VT. He lived and grew up in East Dorset, and married his high school sweetheart, Joanne (Markey) Weber, to whom he was married for 62 years. As a teenager he worked with his father for the family business, Webco Roofing. He attended Champlain College in Burlington, VT, and after graduation worked for 19 years for IBM in Essex Junction, VT. He was a great father and loved his family deeply. After leaving IBM, Ken and Joanne took on one of the highest callings of their lives, running a Hospice out of their home in Bristol, VT, which Ken built along with other volunteers. The St. Gerard Home helped patients in their last days along with their families by providing attentive and personal round the clock care.
In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his sisters, Karen Weber and Claire Schoffstall. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; five children: Kurt (Nancy) Weber, Kevin (Maggie) Weber, Chris (Laura) Weber, Kendra (Tim) Gratton, and Craig (Eva) Weber; several grandchildren: Bailey, Tristan, and Gus Cannizzaro; Brian Weber, Jennifer Harris; Ellen Heilman, Riley Weber; Damian Sulger, Aaron Gratton; Cameron and Colton Weber; and great-grandchildren: Calvin Weber; Benjamin and Jacob Harris; Jesslyn and Dayana Meader.

We so loved our Dad and are still reeling. Thanks so much for your prayers.
Hi Kendra. So sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Your mom and were such special people to me the kindest most caring people. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely, Tracy Sargent.
Thank you!
Dear Kendi,
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss and pray sincerely that you’ll find peace for your broken hearts in the love that binds your family together. Your dad’s warm and welcoming smile for anything we all “got up to” in those long-ago times of THE COMMITTEE was just what we needed to feel supported in so many ways, and I know it was a reflection of the joy he had in his spirit when he looked at all of you. He stood tall in life and he’ll always be cherished for sharing that with all of us who were privileged to spend time with him. Blessings of God’s peace to all of you dear Webers.
Thanks so much.
