Leonard (Jim) Roger Ball

Addison, VT – Leonard (Jim) Roger Ball departed this world December 22, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the Rutland Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. Jim grew up in Ferrisburgh but spent the past 10 years between Addison and Brandon.


Born January 21, 1945 in Ferrisburgh, VT, Jim retired from Vergennes Union High School after 25 years. He enjoyed spending time at the V.F.W, American Legion and Eagles Club. Jim enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and especially driving his Harley Davidson.


He is survived by his partner, Theresa Sullivan, his children: son, Mark Tougas of East Middlebury, son James Ball and wife Stephanie of New Haven, daughter Sarah McGrath and husband Michael of Addison. His Grandchildren: Mara Payne, Brittany Ouellette, Shane McGrath, Dawson McGrath, Heather Davio, Peyton Ball and McKenzie Ball as well as half sister Patty Martell, brothers Gerald Grant and Gary Grant. He was predeceased by his parents Helen Ball, Glendon (Sam) Ball and his sister Norma (Tootie) Collette. 


Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Rutland Regional Medical Center for your extraordinary care while Jim kept you all on your toes during his time with you. 

Service and burial will be held in the Spring in Ferrisburgh, VT. More details will be published as the time gets closer.
