            On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 Patricia (Morcombe) Pratt peacefully joined her husband Roscoe in heaven.

            Patricia was born May 26, 1921 the daughter of John and Pearl (Cole) Morcombe.

            Patricia always devoted her life to her family. It started when she dropped out of school in the 6th grade to care for her ailing mother. She was very involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

            On November 2, 1946 she married Roscoe Pratt at the Congregational Church in Bridport and remained in Bridport to raise four children and started a business Pratt’s Store.

            For a year Pat was a cook at Bridport Central School and was very proud when she put herself thru nursing school to become an LPN working at Porter Hospital.

            She leaves behind her most treasured accomplishments, son Darwin and wife Sue, daughter Carolyn Rouse and husband John, son Dean; grandchildren Stacey (Todd) Stone, Corey (Laurie) Pratt, Michelle (Matt) Page, Ashley and Kyle Rouse, Erin (Duncan) McAllister as well as great grandchildren Hillary, Justin, and Blair Stone, Devin Pratt, Adam, Bailey and Kendyl Page, and Wes and Greer McAllister.

            She also leaves behind her brother and sister in law Warren and Barb Pratt, many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as her “bonus” family Meg and Bub Crosby and Amber and Emelee Trudo.

            She was predeceased by her parents, husband Roscoe, son Donald, brothers John and Harold Morcombe, sister Arlene (Johnson) Dellveneri and granddaughter Sarah Pratt.

            The family would like to thank and express their gratitude to the staff at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center who cared for her the past two years as well as her very special roommate Betty Diette.

            Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 12th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home, 48 South Maple St. Vergennes, VT. from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m.  on Monday, November 13th at Bridport Congregational Church with burial following at Bridport Central Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family immediately following at the Masonic Hall in Bridport. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Activities Dept. of Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 30 Porter Drive, Middlebury, VT 05753.
