Ray A. Morgan, age 83, of Middlebury, VT passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on July 21, 2019.
He graduated from Beaman Academy in 1953 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving as a Sergeant in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in October 1956.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 27 for 63 years and a member of the VFW. Ray had a 38-year career at Polymers in Middlebury. In retirement, Ray enjoyed car swapping for all local car dealerships.
In recent years Ray enjoyed his home, soaking in his hot tub and maintaining his yard. He also spent time touring New England by car. He loved to drive with his co-pilot and wife Yvonne.
He is survived by his spouse, Yvonne (Cousino); son, Christopher Morgan of Middlebury, VT, and daughters Kathy Malzac (Paul) of Monkton, VT and Jaye O’Connell (Kenny) of Essex Junction, VT; six grandchildren, Justin, Kayla, Kirsten, Mackenzie, Jacob and Lily, two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Lydia; and siblings Gary Morgan and Joann Harvey of Enfield, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Parish in Middlebury. Burial will be at a later date.
